Greetings, my fellow Changelings!
I am far more excited about this as I probably should be, then again, heck, what can I say?
I'm a grumpy old grump and thus, I never pledged for any of the other Onyx Path Kickstarters - I found them a bit too expensive, playing with our feelings and milking us just a bit too much. But well, all that is not completely in the wind, but a distant voice, whispering in my ear that I shunned, far too quickly in the face of such news.
You probably guessed it by now:
There will be a new edition of the Changeling - The Dreaming core rulebook!
You can find the Kickstarter here .
Oh and Onyx Path has a RedBubble Store, too, where you can find lots of Changeling swag, too. I will definitely shop there as soon as my glamour gauge has recovered from 'intoxicated level' again.
I pledged, and far too much, maybe. But who cares? I haven't succumbed to banality completely, yet. So the money my (fortunately not too boring) day job brings me can as well go right into the heart of this project to rekindle the flames of the Dreaming once more. You will definitely be reading my name in that book.
Let's hope, brothers and sisters, that we can all relive our dreams again and that this book might help to even awaken new souls so they aren't lost in this long winter.
Lert's discuss what hopes and wishes you have for the book!
Thoughts on which other books you want to see revived?
Or do you think it's all just for the money and not worth it?
All opinions are welcome at my court, as you know. I'm not one of those 'corrupt' Sidhe nobles they are talking about in the trailer - once again.
I think my biggest fear is, that the book will be too one-sided, as a lot of the changeling books were. All WoD books were always written from a very distinctive perspective and never to be taken as 'the one obsolete truth'. But with Changeling especially, I always felt my heart bleeding on how Sidhe and nobility have always been depicted as something bad or negative in a way. The positive side of it has always been hidden in some half-sentence, so to say.
But away from all this trash-talk, I am happy to see, that the goal for fundraising was reached in about an hour. *grins* We still got it in us, my friends. the dream will live on.
Looking forward to hearing your opinions, friends.
